Conversion rates up 38.5% at the Ideal Home Show 2012 compared to 2011 results

Jenny Crookes, Hillary's Marketing Manager explains:

'The touchscreens supplied by datacpr have been a key part of the success of this year's Ideal Home Show. Not only have we seen an increase in the number of appointments booked, but also the quality of the lead. Almost 80% of our visitors to stand were contacted within 24 hours of their visit and their appointments confirmed - that's almost twice as many as the previous year.

The software and services provided by datacpr have been exceptional. From our initial concepts, through to design, development and implementation, the process was seamless. Not only were they instrumental in the look and layout of the touchscreens themselves, they also suggested using printers to give customers a record of their visit and appointment and keep Hillarys fresh in their minds.

They've made data collection hassle free by automatically collating, sorting and sending the data taken on stand almost immediately after the show closed each day,,ensuring we contacted our visitors before the competition,,each and every day. They also sent a management report each night to show a daily and overall view of the performance of the show, proving invaluable to keep all levels of the business up-to-date.

Using the touchscreens also allows us to capture useful information to help us plan future shows..This includes how we layout our stand to make the most of visitor traffic through to how many staff are available at any day and time. In fact we're so confident in the touchscreens and the support given by datacpr, we're already in talks about future shows this year, next year and onwards!'

When Hillarys first considered touchscreen technology it was to support their marketing teams at key industry events such as Grand Designs and the National Home Shows. The leading made-to measure blinds company wanted to find a way to allow customers to access more information about their products whilst also encouraging people to leave their contact details. Hillarys found that not only did datacpr fulfil both requirements but it was a fantastic medium for creating brand engagement.

Jenny goes on to say:

'The screens look great and are extremely engaging. This encourages people to find out more about us without the pressure of talking to someone directly. We've also found that as customers are using them they stay on the stand longer so they tend to look at the products in more detail and then hopefully go on to book an appointment either via the touchscreen or with someone on the stand.'

The marketing information available has enabled Hillarys to target their prospective customers more accurately and can be used to ensure that they exhibit an exciting product mix that customers want to see. Activity can be tracked effectively as datacpr also provides an extensive suite of reports which can be accessed anytime, anywhere.

'Previously we've only been able to track separately how many leads we've taken and how many entered our competition, 'Jenny commented, 'With datacpr not only can we see the whole activity, but we can also see how many customers want more detail from us and what type of product they are interested in. We can then quickly match that up to the success of the lead, allowing us to better target customers from the show and provide the right type of information on the stand.'
